During the 14th century anarchy swept across western Europe. No country felt the peoples wrath more so than France. On the throne sat King Louis XIIV, a greedy and cruel man. He had ordered the execution of his own mother because he felt bored. Yes, Louis was France's most despised monarch and the citizens often fantasied about murdering their King. However, no matter how vile Louis treated his citizens they never dared attempt an assassination. You see Louis was protected by an organisation so ruthless that its name became synonymous with evil. For centuries they had terrorised the people of Europe leaving a trail of blood and tears wherever they roamed. Then suddenly, after 400 years of persecution, the organisation vanished. The people breathed a sigh of relief and could finally cast away their fear. At last Europe was free from the bloodthirst and the torment.
